“ Incredible, fresh, housemade Italian fair! We absolutely loved discovering Montesacro on a day trip to Walnut Creek for business. A photo online of their gnocchi drew me in and they did not disappoint! As we often do, we started with an appetizer pizza. The woodfired pizza was perfect. We also shared a lintel soup. My partner enjoyed a carbonarra while I had the gnocchi. The gnocchi were the softest, freshest little pillows of pasta I have ever had! Paired with a meaty meat sauce with bolognese flavor. Everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was packed, and we were walkins. We settled for a seat at the bar where we enjoyed attentive service. Atmosphere is modern and cool. Highly recommend and make a reservation. ”
“ Had the Brussels sprouts, polpa, cacio e pepe and a pinsa with broccoli and spicy sausage forgot name Weve been traveling yearly to Italy for over 15 years and sometimes twice a year. The polpo rivals the one I had in santa margherita ligure and forte de Marmi. The cacio was as good as in Rome and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. I prefer Napoli pizza but the pinsa crust was amazing. Recommend ”

We had Cavolfiori Cauliflower salad Cavoletti Fritti Brussels Sprouts Suppli Al Telefono Tomato Mozzarella risotto croquettes SeaBass San Lorenzo Pinsa Centocelle Pinsa Dessert Pistachio Pinsa Pannacotta Flourless Chocolate Cake Each answer everything was delicious and there was no a crumb left on our plates. “ My wife had been dying to go to Montesacro for months. This is a highly desirable restaurant and therefore difficult to get weekend reservations. Thankfully it was more than worth the wait! The service was absolutely amazing! Cant say enough nice things. So professional and pleasant. A real delight. We both ordered several cocktails. Espresso Martinis and a Vodka Martini with a twist. Drinks came out quickly and perfectly made. We ordered several food dishes. We got one of the pizzas. It does take a bit longer to come out but absolutely worth the wait. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the Amatricianna. Seemed to also be a popular order combo. We decided to share everything. The pasta was so fresh. Perfect amount of sauce. I was really impressed. The bread basket came with olive oil to dip in. It was probably the best olive oil we have ever had. They said it was sourced from Italy and we probably wouldnt find it around here.
